Horsemanship

Prerequisite: Horsemanship

Reining
Prerequisite: Western Pleasure Beginner
Beginner - Learn to not rely as much on the reins for turning. Keep your legs still and begin using your body to move the horse. Get the lope down.
Intermediate - Quit using reins. Begin sudden stops and starts, as well as circling.
Advanced - Get your sudden stops and starts down and get your horse to circle around his hind legs FAST.
Barrel Racing
Prerequisite: Western Pleasure Beginner
Beginner - Learn to lope well, and begin doing the barrels at a walk and fast jog.
Intermediate - Lope the barrels and work on getting faster times.
Advanced - Lope/Gallop the barrels and get FAST times.
Poll Bending
Prerequisite barrel racing beginner
Beginner:learn to trot the polls and work on leaning into turns.
Intermediate: will slowly lope polls work on turns and go into stable show
Advanced: can lope polls fast turns fast will compeat in shows
Cutting
Prerequisite:Barrel racing beginner SHOULD OWN YOUR OWN HORSE
Beginner - Learn to lope well, and begin doing some maneuvers you normally wouldn't.
Intermediate - Ride a real cutting horse and learn how to help the horse do its job.
Advanced - Sit back and relax! No, kidding. REALLY help the horse.
Ropeing
Prerequisite:Cutting beginner
Beginner: get use to hadnaling calf as well as roaping
Intermediate:can roap moving objects and can flip and tie a calf
Advanced: can roap a calf on horseback can jump flip and tie a calf
Valting
Prerequisite: Horsemanship
Beginner:learns to trust the horseand to ride bare back as well as stand on the horse
Intermediate:learns basic gymnastics moves while on horseback
Advanced:will perfect balance and harder moves
Flag Race
Beginner:learn to trot through race owners will have to flag train there horses
Intermediate:can slowly lope race lean inot turns and can get flag in biket well
Advanced:can race through and have good aim for flag to buket
Drill Team
Prerequisite: Horsemanship
Tenderfoot: will learn circles and basic monovers will get up to a lope
Joinor: will learn drill will be able to lope drill
Big Red: can gallop drills learns several drills
