ENGLISH HORSES Ponies:One of our very first and is the very best. Is Don Casi Mio (Casio for short). He's a 14.1 hand Peruvian Paso Fino x Welsh pony and is 15 years old. The guy does it all from hunter shows, to endurance, to lead horse for youngsters, to "baby sitter" for all age groups. We all love him so. MD Conspiracy TLA (Conspiracy) is an 14.1 hand, bay, 12 year old, registered, Arabian mare. She's the horse that mostly the young ones start on, and she LOVES to trot. Touch of Amber (Amber) is a 14.1 hand, liver chestnut, 10 year old, registered, Morgan mare. She loves to jump, adores trail riding, and did I mention a "need for speed?" Twist N Shout (Twister) is a 13.2 hand, gray and white, 19 year old, Welsh x pony mare. In her younger years, she was a phenomenal jumping pony, but now her arthritis prevents her from jumping very high (as you can see she still loves to "GO"). She teaches many of the little students to canter. Running Red Lights (Red) is the prankster of the group. He's a 14.1 hand (don't tell him that!), chestnut, 19 year old, QH gelding. His job is to keep advanced students on their toes and learning; he also teaches walk/trot to beginners. He has a good heart and an amazingly smooth canter. He also LOVES to jump. Horses:Keowee Kate (Katy) is a 15.1 hand, liver chestnut, 18 year old, registered, Morgan mare. Many people learn how to canter on Kate. She's a joy to ride and work around. Penny for Thought (Penny) is a 16.1 hand, black and white, Percheron/paint cross (PMU mare) and is about the quietest four year old you've ever met. She teaches walk/trot to many of the adult students. Dancing with Trouble (Dancer) is a 6 year old, 16 hand, chestnut, QH gelding. He's a very steady guy with a western pleasure attitude which is great for confidence building. He also enjoys jumping and is wonderful at shows. Red Conquest (Quest) is a 6 year old, 17.1 hand, bay, TB gelding. He's used for jumping and for the advanced students. He's quiet and is a gentleman. Zipped Fleet (Dexter) is a 5 year old, 16 hand, American Paint horse gelding. He's a wonderfully quiet horse with lots of talent. He's very steady and has become a nice show horse. Blue Streak Special E (Rudy) is one of our newer lesson horse. He's a 16 hand, 15 year old, QH/TB gelding. He was used as a children's 3'6" jumper before his girl went off to college. He's a real sweetie. Omaha's Prince (Phantom) is our newest lesson horse. He's a 5 year old, 15.1 hand, bay overo, APHA gelding. He was primarily used as a trail horse/speed event horse before coming to the farm. He's currently learning how to jump and how to be relaxed in the arena. Our advanced students are enjoying him.

WESTERN HORSES Cheri is a wonderful kids horse. She seems to know when she's got someone inexperienced on her back and takes special care of the kids. Cheri came from out west and was probably used as a working horse a lot. She's paid her dues and knows her stuff. She is an excellent beginners horse. She loves all the attention she gets as a lesson horse. She especially likes the treats! Lucky is a horse of a different color and gait. His breed is called a Rocky Mountain Horse. They are naturally gaited which means they are very smooth to ride and do not trot. Lucky is very good with people. I originally bought him as my riding gelding. His breed is good for people with back problems. He's like riding in a luxury car. He's excellent to develop one's balance on because he is so smooth. I especially enjoy working with him using a bareback pad because it helps develop and maintain a natural riding position. He has also been trained in certain leg cues which can further teach a rider to use more of their body when riding. Lucky's chocolate body color and light mane and tail are more valuable for his breed. He always stands out in the herd Kachina is much the same as Sedona in terms of being a good all around horse that everyone wants. Kachina used to steal other mares' babies when she was younger. When she was 3 years old, I promised her she could have her very own baby. She produced her first foal by Magic in 2003. He was born so early in the season that I never really got a good picture of him, but he is much the same as Penny's foal Cajun only black. What a personality on that foal. Just exceptionally friendly, great conformation. Had he been a Quarter horse or true Paint instead of a breeding stock Paint, I would have kept him for a stud prospect. He had it all -- looks, personality, conformation, disposition, and quiet. He was so quiet I could straddle him and lay on him when he was sleeping and he wouldn't move. As a weanling he was already practically bomb proof. An excellent pleasure horse. Kachina is likewise in demand as a lesson horse. She also attracts the eye of those who like Paint horses and is often the first horse they inquire about. Her foal sold almost immediately. For her versatility and desirability, she is one of the most valuable horses on the farm. You can tell when you have a good horse because everyone wants her. That's how Sedona is. She is another up and coming broodmare that is already a lesson horse at a young age. Super quiet, great conformation and one of the best all around horses on the farm. Sedona is one that can do it all -- have babies, ride well, teach lessons, drive. I'm really looking forward to seeing what she produces. The problem is we want her as a lesson horse too. When people come to see horses, she is often one people ask about. Everyone wants her. I imagine her foals will be in demand much the same way. This elegant bay mare has lots of class. Excellent conformation, great hip, sleek lines, outstanding muscle definition, baby doll head, large almond shaped eyes and quiet disposition make Sedona an excellent brood mare prospect. She is shows potential for driving, pleasure, english or western riding. Her movement is stylish and refined and draws attention wherever she goes. Her coat is more red creating a striking contrast to her black mane and tail and those beautiful eyes. She goes back to the King Fritz line. Most horses on the farm are less traditional colors. She is one of the only horses with any brown. She is just that exceptional. Thunder is a very large silver grullo mare, a rare color. Thunder always attracts attention. For a big girl, she is very tender with people and her foals. When she's not being a mom, she is one our lesson horses and a trail horse. Her quiet disposition and size make her an excellent choice as a broodmare. Her fillies are very affectionate and sociable and possess superior intelligence. They are a joy to be around. Thunder is nearly 1400 pounds, large boned and all muscle. She rides western. We use her as a trail horse when she's not making beautiful babies. Her foals will have the size and excellent conformation and muscle of their mother. Their most obvious attribute at this time is what they can pass on to future generations through their foals. She has produced two foals for me, both of them are ones that I would have a hard time parting with. Her 2001 foal, Ebony (sire Grullo Driftwood) will be my replacement for Tippys Classy Babe. Her 2002 foal Katana (sire IM Magic) was one of the most super friendly foals on the farm and is an excellent brood mare prospect. Both have lots of size and a good head on their shoulders. They have calm, loving dispositions like their mom. What an awesome horse! This is the horse that started it all for me with Magic. I saw her when she came from Idaho. What a jaw dropper. All nearly 16 hands of her. The people wanted more than I could afford then, so I asked where you could get a horse like her. They said she came out of this gorgeous son of Impressive, IM Magic. From there I went to see two of his black daughters. They brought Magic out so I could see their dad. If my jaw dropped for Voodoo, it was on the ground when I saw Magic. I had never seen such a beautiful horse! And the rest is history. Voodoo slipped through my fingers twice before I finally got her. There is no way I would ever part with her. She is big, all black and gorgeous. I will use her for a western pleasure horse and we use her as a lesson horse. She is of course a broodmare also. I would consider leasing her as a broodmare or doing a prepurchase contract using an outside sire or leasing her for riding. She will stay on the farm to ensure she always receives quality care.
